| In August 2009, the documentary "Cerco al Pederasta" was recording in Cambodia, starring and conducted by actor and presenter Christian Galvez. This report was broadcasted on November 18 as a special investigation report on TV channel Telecinco. |
| "Cerco al pederasta," filmed in the capital, Phnom Penh, shows the work investigation and reporting work done by Protect, depicting its fight against sex offenders, mostly foreigners, living or traveling through Cambodia. |
| The documentary also features Protect’s work in the legal defense and social reintegration of victims. |
| "Cerco al pederasta" shows descriptive images and demonstrates first-hand accounts of investigative work, monitoring and reporting of foreign sex offenders, who prey on the vulnerability of Cambodian children. |
| During his stay in Cambodia, Galvez directly assisted in the arrest of several sex offenders by the proper authorities of the country. He was also able to access and obtain images of the trial of an offender, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison and ordered to pay financial compensation to the family of the victim. |
| Galvez was able to talk with several victims of these offenders and their families, where Galvez learned that economic uncertainty can, at times, be convincing enough for the family to allow their children to have relations with foreigners. |
| This abuse is often facilitated by intermediaries, who directly benefit and facilitate the abuse, as evidenced in the interview shown in the documentary. |
| Some of the victims are sent to foster homes, where they are given a stable and healthy environment, with all the resources necessary to recover from such traumatic events, as well as providing a foundation for a dignified future. |
